Ulema to rise up against terrorism: Malik Rahman

Interior Minister Rehman Malik said on Sunday that the country was passing through crucial timing and urged Ulema to play there due role to denounce suicide attacks and defeat terrorism... He was speaking to newsmen here after holding a discussion with Mufti Rafi Usmani and Mufti Taqi Usmani in DARUL ULOOM Karachi where a moot of Ulema held to discuss issuing a 'fatwa' against suicide attacks. Malik urged the Ulema to give Fatwa against suicide attacks. The interior minister said the ongoing wave of terrorism and suicide attacks being carried out in the country stand in contradiction with Islam, adding he would consult with all the ulema in this connection.
